Insurance Cover for our Members

Public liability and Professional Indemnity insurances for eligible members of The Scottish Artists Union is arranged by Howden Insurance Brokers Limited trading as Hencilla Canworth, a specialist insurance intermediary for the creative sector.

The policy provides £5,000,000 of Public Liability and £5,000,000 of Professional Indemnity insurance for its qualifying members.

 

The policy is underwritten by Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd and is for members of the Scottish Artists Union as a benefit of membership for qualifying members, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy.

Qualifying members are:

  1. Any current member of the Scottish Artists Union; and
  2. a limited company as defined under the Companies Act 1985 operating in connection with the business where you are the sole employee and director other than one additional director or employee who is a family member and engaged in clerical or administrative duties only, provided that the member is domiciled in the United Kingdom, the Channel Island or the Isle of Man.
