Understanding the importance of mental health during the pandemic.

The Scottish Artists Union have been successful in attracting additional support from Scottish Union Learning's Covid-19 Recovery Fund to deliver some online training and support around mental health for our members.

Saturday 20th March, Online via Zoom

10am - 12noon, workshop

We recognise the experience of being a self employed artist during the Covid-19 pandemic has been hard emotionally as well as financially. This workshop is delivered by Mental Wealth Training and explores how the stresses and strains of today's society, if you don't recognise or address them, can have a big impact on your wellbeing.

The workshop will cover:

  • What is self care and wellbeing?

  • How do you self care?

  • How we can recognise adverse reactions?

  • Creating a mentally healthy workplace when you’re self employed.

  • Positive influence and being assertive.

1pm - 4pm, (optional) 20 minutes 1-to-1 advice sessions

A confidential opportunity to share your current situation and access practical advice from Anne Mathie, who has been involved in the field of mental health for over 25 years.

"Mental Wealth work from a perspective of lived experience, where we have strong peer values, in other words, we have been there. This experience enables us to identify what could be useful to know and what is essential for people who live with mental ill health."
