Bread and Roses - Inverness 24-25 Aug
Join us in Inverness for a two-day event of talks, workshops and discussions ahead of our Annual General Meeting.
As part of the Scottish Artists Union Annual General Meeting, we are building on the success of last year's 'Keep On, Keepin' On' with a series of workshops and activities on organsing and campaigning as union members, activists and artists.
Join us for Bread and Roses, a two-day event of talks, workshops, discussions and AGM; exploring moments of history in the trade union movement as well as how members can operate as agents of change from within a union. Meet other members, take part in practical workshops on motion writing and building campaigns, access STUC archive materials, enjoy food and a performance from artist collective Bart Waltz in the historic memorial chapel of Bishop's Palace at Eden Court.
Inspired by the life and work of Rose Schneidermann, a pioneer in the women's labour movement, we are gathering in Inverness to share experiences, learn from each other and gain new skills and confidence in campaigning and pushing up against opposition.
