'Artists' General Meeting'

The Scottish Artists Union Annual General Meeting 2019 is free to all union members to attend.

This meeting is not only an opportunity for members to hear about what the staff and executive committee have been doing, but where key decisions are made about the future of the union. Members can submit motions to change the constitution, instruct staff & exec to act on the members behalf or show support for issues and campaigns that affect visual & applied artists and makers living and working in Scotland today.

Our membership team will welcome you and be around all day to answer any questions you have about your membership, benefits, services and using all the new features on our website.

Last year the AGM agreed to affiliate to the STUC, instruct the exec to support the expansion of our funded learning programme and express solidarity with the WASPI women and support the Living Wage campaign.

Alongside the AGM (for union members only), there will be a session from our learning team launching a new nationwide programme of events, meet ups and workshops designed specifically for our members and always free to attend. We will also be sharing the latest on our Fair Work Contract project, which gives our members access to contract templates for exhibitions, project work, sales and workshop delivery. The contract is backed by our free Members Liability insurance, free or discounted legal services as well as the support of staff, exec and 1300+ members of the Scottish Artists Union.

Sign up today!

More details to follow, but put the date in your diary, mark it on your calendar today, and we hope to see you in Dundee on Saturday 31st August 2019.
